When it came time to find an internship for my graduation requirements, I never thought that the best opportunity I’d find as a very non-minimal designer would be through a hospital. However, I was very wrong. As the design-focused Marketing Intern at South County Hospital in Wakefield, RI, I’ve gotten the opportunity to design event fliers, HR notices, digital graphics, invitations, staff appreciation materials, clinical forms, brochures, and even menus. I had the chance to apply a strong, existing brand identity through the listed mediums while still being able to show my own creativity and ideas at the same time. Working with South County Hospital’s marketing team was such an informative and positive experience that has absolutely shaped my design skill range and interest in careers moving forward!
